Well known for its hand-woven and naturally dyed cotton products, the Bhumi Khiri (Th: Wisdom of the mountains) group uses soil and tree bark to assist in dyeing their fabric. They also tailor many local-style clothing with wonderful patterns and offer many local products as souvenir from the Phu Wiang Mountains.

หญ้าแฝก (Vetiver) พืชที่ปลูกเพื่อช่วยฟื้นฟูสภาพดินเสื่อมและป้องกันการชะล้างพังทลายของดิน ถือเป็นวัสดุจากธรรมชาติที่หาได้ง่ายในพื้นที่ นำมารวมกับเส้นไหม วัสดุได้มาจากกลุ่มผู้ปลูกหม่อนเลี้ยงไหมในชุมชน ทำเป็นหุ่นไดโนเสาภูเวียงโกซอรัส สิรินธรเน่ ไดโนเสาร์สายพันธุ์ใหม่ของโลก ขุดพบครั้งแรกที่หุบเขาภูเวียง ผลิตภัณฑ์นี้จึงแสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์ของอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น และความภาคภูมิใจของผู้คนในชุมชน

Vetiver plant is found abundantly throughout the area with varying uses. When combined with natural silk from the weavers in the community, a dinosaur handicraft could be made. The design represents the famous Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae, a new genus of sauropod firstly unearthed here in Khon Kaen Geopark. This product weave the geopark’s identity and local pride together in one.
